New Headset suggestions? Anyone.... Bueller?

Post by mickeybr » Tue Nov 20, 2012 7:04 pm

Since I destroyed my last cheap set, I thought I'd get suggestions on a decent gaming headset. Something that is good value for the price, but not in the top tier...

Price range: $50-$150 maybe.

Thanks

Sennheiser PC-350

or the newer version

I still have my first set, its over 3 years old and if I didn't accidentally sever the mic cord, I'd still be using it. I did buy the exact same set and still use both, one for music and one for gaming!

I read about it but I haven't had any problems, personally, and I run every wireless device known to man.

What about comfort of these? I've been reluctant to spend money on headphones because I never found any I could wear for more than 30 minutes. But, then again, what I tried wasn't very expensive in the first place.

G930's are probably the most comfortable headset I've ever owned

My ears get sore from wearing headphones very easily, and while the G930's are solid and a little heavy, I can't remember getting tired of wearing them, even after a couple hours.

Suggestions and recommendations were sent to Santa :) I found these, which have no reviews because they are new, but they sound interesting...

EXSOUND Coral III H - Ultimate Gaming Headset with 5.1 Channels Dolby Surround Sound

This website has more info on the product family: http://www.goexsound.com/product01_1.aspx?sn=12

What do you think? I'm still not positive about the wireless. I' have wireless issues all the time with devices.

3 top players in the clan swear by the G930 I think that should sell you on the wireless.

Ok so I got the Logitech Wireless Headset and not had any problems with it dropping out. I sort of expected more surround sound feel in BF3, but I don't think it's the HS issue.

The only other peeve is that when I plug them into the USB, it disables the sound going out of my audio, so I cannot use my speakers unless I unplug them from the computer.

I'm hoping I can find a resolution to that, but so far no dice. :yuck:

just change the playback device in windows control panel from the HS to the speakers when you want to use them.
